Sweet Baby Favorites

Registering for a new baby can be so overwhelming. These are few items that helped me survive the first couple of months with a colicky baby.  There are so many essentials that I use but these are a few of my MUST HAVES.

Glider - A glider or rocking chair is a must have for the nursery. It took me a long long long time to find the perfect chair for our nursery because I wanted it to be really comfy as well as stylish.  I really liked the look of the cushion chairs that look more like a small La-Z-Boy, but when I sat in them they just didn't feel as comfy and the backs were really short so I couldn't lean my head back.  When I tired Dutailier Grand Glider it didn't have the look I wanted but it was sooo comfy and had all the features I wanted, so I ended up getting it and I am so happy with it.
Swaddles - I loved the Summer Swaddles! They are perfect for the incompetent swaddler like myself :). It didn't matter how many times the nurses in the hospital showed us how to do it, Brady would have his arms out in under 2 minutes of us wrapping him up. The Summer Swaddles are the best 'cheat' to swaddling ever and Brady was able to sleep through the night without his arms and hands waking him up.
Bob Stoller  - When all else fails with a colicky baby, go for a walk! The Bob stroller is so smooth and turns on a dime.  We live where their are lots of hills and dirt roads and this stroller is perfect for this.
Aden + Anais bamboo blankets- I never leave the house without an Aden + Anais blanket. They are the softest and most light weight blankets.  Perfect for any use. I use mine for everything ... laying him on the floor, car seat blanket, to cover him up in the swing or bouncer, and the list goes on. I have about 6 and still use them all and the patterns and colors are so adorable.
Baby Bouncer- The baby bouncer allowed me some sanity so I could take a shower and put on a little makeup :). I was really sad when Brady outgrew this.
Diaper Genie - As the diapers get stinkier and stinkier the diaper Genie is amazing. When I registered for this my husband thought I was crazy and didn't understand why we couldn't just throw them away in the trash...now he understands :).
Swing - My son loved the swing and this was the only way I got dinner cooked and a little laundry done. And when he was really fussy he took his naps in the swing. This is a MUST in my opinion.

Graco Car Seat- I really like this SnugRide 35 because it is lighter than a lot of the others and has really good safety reviews (up until the recall of the buckle but it's easy to get the replacement buckle). It has an easy buckle system and is easy to adjust.
Medela Pump- This is a great and powerful pump and lives up to the great reviews it has!
Baby Cache Montana Crib- I searched high and low for the perfect crib...from Pottery Barn Kids to Restoration Hardware Baby and ended up with this beautiful crib that was so affordable.  I love the design and espresso wood color.
Graco High Chair- This Graco high chair is awesome! It is a 4-in-1 seating system and is designed to go from high chair - to infant feeding system - to toddler boaster - to youth chair.
Graco Pack-n-Play- I know that there are so many different Pack-n-Plays out there but this Graco Pack-n-Play has every feature and function for a comfy newborn.  Having a changing table, as well as, the organizer makes life so much easier, especially in the night! And one of my favorite features is the bassinet. Brady loved sleeping in here for the first few months; it was so nice a cozy for him.
